CADEMY is a free site for learning mechanical CAD in Onshape, run by Tanishk Naik. By creating an account you agree to these terms. Please also read the Privacy Policy.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 to create an account.
  • Use your own email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

The service

  • The site is free.
  • It may change, be unavailable at times, or close.
  • If it is going to close, we will try to give notice on the site so you can download your data first.

Learning content is not engineering advice

  • Projects, values, tolerances and rules of thumb are for learning CAD.
  • They are checked carefully, but they are not a substitute for professional engineering judgement, a supplier's data or the standards that apply to a real product.
  • Verify anything before you rely on it to build, sell or load something.
  • CADEMY checks only the measurements you type in. It cannot see your Onshape documents, so a passed check is not a guarantee that a model is correct.
  • 3D models on the site are built from each project's dimensions to help you picture the part. Your own model in Onshape is the one that counts.

Your content

  • Notes, portfolio entries, screenshots and links you add stay yours.
  • You let us store them and show them back to you so the site can work.
  • Only upload images you have the right to use, and nothing illegal or harmful.

Fair use

  • Do not try to break, overload or get around the security of the site, or access other people's accounts.
  • Do not scrape or copy the curriculum in bulk to republish it.
  • We may suspend or remove accounts that break these rules.

Trademarks

  • Onshape is a trademark of PTC Inc.
  • This site is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Onshape or PTC.

No warranty

  • The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind.
  • As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from using it or relying on its content.
  • Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and contact

  • If these terms change, the date at the top changes.
  • Material changes are announced on the site before they apply.
